"The abduction of Sita" is drama, dance, cellphone video, music and congress at the same time.
It deals with an international project that Joachim Schloemer created in India together with German and Indian actors.
The piece builds a bridge between the Rama myth and the political and social reality of today's India.
A production by mediapool in coproduction with the
House of World Cultures, the Theatre Freiburg, the Schauspielhaus Dusseldorf and the City Auroville near Madras/Chennai in South India.
"The abduction of Sita" was financed by the Federal Cultural Foundation.
